- How does it affect the person?- Thyroid problems, Hearing problems ,Developmental delay, Congenital Heart Disease.
- What are the treatments?- Unfortantly, there isn't any treatmeant for this type of disorder. But treatment is availible for the health problems might have.
- How or can it be prevented?- Down syndrome can not be treated
- What is the life expectancy of a person with this disorder?- The life expectancy for people with down syndrome has increased substantially. In 1929, the average life span of a person with Down syndrome was nine years. But,today it is common for a person with Down syndrome to live to age 50 and beyond.

I use to babysit a couple of kids with down syndrome. They were the sweetest, and most cutest kids I know. One of them has a brain tumor and is only going to live for a few months.
kids with down syndrome are cute and they have the advantages and disadvantages but they are still normal in there own way.
Down syndrome is not really a laughing matter, though it was a good post, I would have liked to see something about (hypothyroidism~mongoloids) and their relationship.
