2. When they are caterpillars you can usually find them on milkweed. They will also only lay their eggs on milkweed. They way you can tell a male from a female, is that the male monarch has dots at the bottom of the lower wing, and the female doesnt.
3. The monarch are very unique and beautiful, and can be very hard to catch. And i like it because of it's bright colors.
